In Thailand, the results of the recent parliamentary vote have determined that Paetongtarn Shinawatra, representing the Pheu Thai Party and positioned as a progressive centrist, will assume the role of Prime Minister. The voting breakdown revealed significant support for her candidacy, with 319 votes cast in favour, while 145 were against her appointment. Additionally, 27 abstentions and two members were absent from the voting process.
