By Martin Foskett / Media / News On the evening of 25 August 2025, I stood on the edge of Southern Way in Harlow, Essex, as the day exhaled its last light, and I watched something quietly electric unfold. Locals, drawn together by something older than headlines, raised the Union Flag and the St George's Cross in a coordinated act of unapologetic pride. No stage, no chants, just flags, faces, and a palpable stillness interrupted only by the wind and the click of my shutter. It wasn't a protest. It wasn't a parade. It was a raw, unfiltered statement: we're here, and we're not ashamed to show it.
I wrote about it all in detail in my dispatch: 👉 The Flag, The Flare, and The Fury: One Night in Harlow with the English Unapologetic And I didn't just write it, I shot it. Photos that capture the tension in the flags, the edge in the light, and the stillness before and after are all available on Alamy for editorial licensing. Videos featuring the movement, noise, and pulse of a place standing still together are now live on Newsflare. This isn't stock. This is a story. It's Harlow. It's England. It's what happened.
