Shops have a remarkable talent for making simple maths look like advanced physics.
Big packs, "2 for" deals, different bottle sizes, mystery weights, all carefully arranged so your brain gives up and just chucks it in the trolley.
This calculator puts the numbers back where they belong.
Enter the price, indicate whether you're dealing with weight or liquid, and it calculates the real unit cost, including multipacks.
No guesswork. No mental gymnastics. Just the truth per gram or millilitre.

Unit Price Calculator (Weight, Liquids & Multipacks)

Enter the total price, then choose whether you’re measuring by weight or liquid volume. Multipack mode supports: packs × items per pack × each size.

Choose first, then pick units
Example: 2 packs of 6 × 330ml

Price per 100g: –
Price per kg: –

Tip: For liquids, compare per 100ml and per litre. For weight, compare per 100g and per kg.

How To Use (plain and clear)
  1. Enter the total price of the item or deal
  2. Choose whether you're measuring by Weight or Liquid
  3. Leave Multipack off for single items
  4. OR turn it on if you've got packs of cans, bottles, etc.
  5. Enter the amounts and hit Calculate
You'll see the proper unit prices:
  • Per gram / per 100 g / per kg for weight
  • Per ml / per 100ml / per litre for liquids
That's the number that actually matters.
Multipack Examples (real-world scenarios)Example 1 — Cans of soft drink
6 × 330ml for £4.50
Multipack ON → Packs: 1 → Items per pack: 6 → Each size: 330ml

Example 2 — Bigger deal
2 packs of 6 × 330ml for £9
Multipack ON → Packs: 2 → Items per pack: 6 → Each size: 330ml

Example 3 — Bag of rice
500g for £2.25
Weight → Single item → Total amount: 500g

The calculator turns all of these into clean, comparable unit prices.

Why This Exists

Retail pricing is designed to look helpful while quietly being confusing.

Different pack sizes. Odd weights. "Value" deals that aren't.

This tool strips all that away so you can compare like-for-like and see which option actually gives you more for your money.

It's not glamorous.

It helps prevent you from being nudged into paying more than you need to.
