EUROPE, UK. As of August 2, 2024, the most egregious murderers serving whole life sentences are no longer allowed to marry while incarcerated, following the enactment of a new law. This legislation, part of the Victims and Prisoners Act, was recently signed into law by the new Lord Chancellor.
